Welcome To The Year

Our Year of God's Light

As we stand at the threshold of the promising year 2024, let us rejoice in the anticipation of God’s light shining brightly upon us. Inspired by Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” let this year be a beacon of divine illumination guiding every aspect of our lives.

In the radiance of God’s light, may our spiritual journeys be illuminated, drawing us closer to Him. In Ephesians 5:8, we are reminded, “For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” Let us embrace this identity and live accordingly.

In the year of God’s light, may our community be touched by compassion and kindness, as reflected in Matthew 5:16 – “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Let us be beacons of love and goodness, impacting lives around us.

Let God’s light permeate our families, bringing healing and unity. As stated in Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Trusting in His light, let fear be replaced by faith, and uncertainty be replaced by His unwavering presence.

As we step into the year 2024, let us declare it as the “Year of God’s Light.” May His light shine in our worship, relationships, endeavors, and every corner of our existence. May this light be a testimony to His grace, leading us to a year of abundant blessings and spiritual growth.

In His Glorious Light,

Welcome to the Month of

Our Month of Perfect Light 1 John 4:18

Dear Jesus House NJ Members,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

As we step into the month of July 2024, the beginning of the second half of the year, we will start with prayer and fasting from the 1st to the 7th of July, you are encourage to join us every evening from 7:30 – 8:30pm on the Zoom platform ID :84638945359, PC: 188144 for prayers, fasting is from 12 midnight to 3pm.

I am excited to share with you our theme for this month: “Perfect Light,” inspired by the powerful words of 1 John 4:18: “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

This verse reminds us that God’s perfect love casts out all fear. It is a timely message for us to embrace, as we navigate through the challenges and uncertainties of life.

The perfect light of God’s love not only dispels the darkness of fear but also illuminates our path, guiding us in truth and righteousness.

Embracing Perfect Light Throughout this month, we will explore what it means to live in the perfect light of God’s love.

Here are some key points we will focus on:

  1. Understanding Perfect Love: – We will delve into the nature of God’s perfect love, which is unconditional, sacrificial, and eternal. Understanding this love is crucial to experiencing the freedom and peace that comes from being in the light of Christ.
  1. Living Without Fear: – Perfect love drives out fear. We will discuss how embracing God’s love can help us overcome anxieties, worries, and the fear of judgment. Living without fear enables us to walk confidently in God’s purpose for our lives.
  1. Reflecting God’s Light: – As recipients of God’s perfect light, we are called to reflect this light in our relationships, communities, and the world. We will explore practical ways to share God’s love with others, becoming beacons of hope and encouragement.
  1. Spiritual Growth: – We will focus on deepening our relationship with God through prayer, worship, and studying His Word. Growing in our spiritual walk allows the perfect light of God to shine more brightly within us and through us.

Activities and Events To reinforce this theme, we have planned various activities and events throughout the month:

Sunday Sermons: Each Sunday, our sermons will center around different aspects of living in the perfect light of God’s love. –

Midweek Digging Deep Bible Studies: Join us on Wednesday evenings as we dive deeper into 1 John 4 and other related scriptures.

Prayer Meetings: We will hold special prayer meetings focused on overcoming fear and embracing God’s perfect love. –

Call to Action: I encourage each of you to actively participate in these activities and to reflect on how you can let God’s perfect light shine in your own life.

Consider how you can be a source of light and love in your families, workplaces, and communities.

As we journey through this month together, may we experience the transformative power of God’s perfect love, driving out all fear and filling our lives with His radiant light. Thank you for being a part of our church family.

Let us move forward with faith, hope, and love, embracing the perfect light that God has given us.

Welcome to the Month of

Dear Jesus House NJ Members,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

As we step into the month of June, I am excited to share our new theme: “Light Within Us Is Not Darkness.”

This theme invites us to reflect deeply on the presence of God’s light in our lives and the importance of living in that light, free from the darkness of sin and deception.

Our theme is rooted in the words of Jesus found in

Luke 11:34-36:  “Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Understanding the Theme:

In this passage, Jesus teaches about spiritual vision and the state of our inner life.

Our “eye” symbolizes our perspective and focus. A healthy spiritual vision, aligned with God’s truth, fills us with light.

Conversely, when our focus is distorted by sin and worldly distractions, darkness can creep into our lives.

Examples and Applications

1.Personal Integrity: –

1 John 1:5-7 – “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

Let us examine our daily actions and decisions. Are we living with integrity, honesty, and righteousness?

Walking in the light means aligning our behavior with God’s standards, even when no one is watching.

2. Relationship with Others: –

Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

How do we interact with our family, friends, and colleagues? Are we a source of encouragement and truth?

By showing kindness, forgiveness, and love, we let Christ’s light shine through us, impacting those around us.

3. Resisting Temptation: –

Ephesians 5:8-11 – “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”

Temptations are ever-present, but we are called to resist and expose them. This might mean avoiding situations that lead us into sin or confronting harmful behaviors in ourselves and others with grace and truth.

Encouragement for the Month: As we meditate on this theme throughout June, let us commit to:

Daily Reflection: Spend time each day in prayer and scripture, asking God to reveal areas of darkness in our lives and fill us with His light.

Community Support: Encourage one another in our walk with Christ. Share your struggles and victories and pray for each other.

Practical Action: Look for ways to demonstrate the light of Christ in your everyday life. Whether through acts of service, words of encouragement, or standing firm in your faith, let your light shine brightly.

Remember, we are called to be beacons of God’s light in a world that often feels overshadowed by darkness. By allowing His light to permeate every part of our lives, we not only experience His peace and joy but also guide others toward His truth.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, filling you with His glorious light this month and always.

In Christ’s love and light,
